I've got bit of a weird situation and wondering if anyone knows what's happened. I'm originally from Finland but have been living in the UK since 2016, and got my British citizenship a few months ago (so I'm a dual national). I applied for a working holiday visa under my British citizenship (i.e. my British passport shows as the primary passport in my application), and I also used my British passport when I gave my biometrics. My work permit was approved last week - but the eTA has been linked to my Finnish passport.
Does anyone know if it's possible to check which citizenship the work permit has been granted for? Or is this something that's done at the border by the border officer? As a British citizen you can get a 24 month work permit, but only a 12 month one as a Finnish citizen, so it would sort of suck if this was somehow mixed up by the case handler.
(I've also submitted a web form via the IRCC website to ask about this but wondering if anyone's been in a similar situation and how it worked out for them?)
