I made an online application on 24th July 2013 for IEC WORK PERMIT under AIESEC which is a recognised exchange program. I am a pakistani citizen, residing in England and I am aware that along with Work Permit at port of entry, I would need TRV stamped on my passport before I fly.The standard time stated on IEC website is still 8 weeks(2 weeks for IEC conditional letter + 6 weeks from submission on My CiC) despite of all the talks of strike and processing times notching up from 2 to 3 months. .. Im in the 7th week from stage 2 of IEC application which is submitting online application on My CIC. 18th September should mark 8 weeks time. Things are so screwed up around here. I called London Office and then emailed Canadian High Commission in UK and they responded in the same way saying THEY DO NOT DEAL WITH ONLINE APPLICATIONS AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT MY APPLICATION. I then called CIC and they said all we can do is confirm if your application exists or not AND Only London offices can tell you.
But anyway..is there anyone has recently submitted their online application for temporary work permit ONLINE IN THE UK. If there is anyone with any experience, please please share here your timelines. My straight forward questions are as follows:
1 - What are the recent processing times from tim you submit online application on MY CIC till you get Passport request message?
2- How long does the london office takes to stamp your passport and send it back to you?
3 - Is it ok to know that london offices say they dont deal with online applications where as CIC confirms that application does exist?
Please reply to whatever you guys could.. I am sure there are many in the same boat. It would be really good to hear from you lot and rather relieving to hear your stories. Best of luck everybody !
