IEC work permit changing to visitor status app - STAMPED PASSPORT

Hi all, sorry again as posted this in wrong thread previously. My work permit expires from IEC 21st jan 2021, I’m now submitting my application to extend my stay as a visitor for a few months before I leave and have everything ready for submission. My passport was stamped with a date 23 jan 2021, just making sure this stamp doesn’t affect my application to remain as a visitor once my work permit expires? Also - can the fee for the app be paid by debit card or is it purely credit?

I don't really understand what you mean by the stamp. Your application to change your status to visitor must reach IRCC before your IEC expires so that you will be on implied status. That's what's important.

Okay thanks. I more meant I’d seen in the website and was advised if there was a stamp in your passport you need to leave by that date - I’ve since been told otherwise but wanted to verify here. Thanks again! To confirm, if my work permit and iec expiration is 21st jan 2021, can the application be submitted on the 21st to change status? Or would the status deem to expire on that date. Thanks again

It can be submitted on the 21st but I would recommend against that. Sometimes people run into technical issues when they wait until the last minute and end up out of status.
