IEC with H&C Case in process

Hey guys, so heres the situation, im currently on IEC Work Permit which expires Aug 2018 and i have just last week filed a H&C case with CIC. I have heard they take around 30 months to review the file as its a case by case decision. So since my IEC expires next year, what can i do to stay in Canada until a decision has been made with my case. Im from the UK British citizen. Im working full time in Canada.

Any ideas??

Apply to change your status to visitor or find an employer who is prepared to do an LMIA for a work permit. The H&C application itself gives you no status as far as I am aware. Hope you've made a really good case, or expect to be refused.
