I'm in Canada on a 12month open WP ( IEC Working Holiday ) at the moment. My current work permit is about to expire end
of March 2013. The opening of the new 2013 IEC program is being delayed again... and again... and again since October 2012.
I have a permanent job offer, working there since August 2012, and I really like to stay/continue to work.
I'm not sure when they'll open the IEC program and if there's gonna be enough time for me to get the new Young Professionals
WP until end of March.
I already checked google, and I know it is possible, on how to extend my stay as a visitor after my IEC Visa expires, but I'm not
sure which forms I have to fill out.
And once the IEC 2013 program finally opens, is it possible to apply under the Young Prof. program, get the Visa and re-enter Canada
to get a new WP? What about my health insurance? Social Sec number? Do i have to cancel any of these while being here
as a visitor?
And since they changed the requirements for the CEC class from 24 to 12months, is it possible to apply for the permanent residence
under the CEC program, with work experience gained on IEC visas?
