IEC Visa Approved finally approved. But for how long?

Hello,
I'm writing here for a question about my visa that as finally been approved.
I am from Italy and after months and months of documents, my IEC visa has been approved and I receive my approval letter which I will write here so some of you may know how long my visa is for.

I did some research already and I read that the visa for Italians is for 6 months, with the possibility to renew it as a tourist for other 6 months, but all the info that I found are from website that are not the official of the Canadian Immigration, and it's really strange that they don't write anything about it on the letter (I already had visas in other country and everything was always written about it).

There is written the validity and the day of when I must enter Canada by which are 1 year after the visa has been approved, I totally understand what they mean by the "must enter Canada by", but what is the validity then? Means that my visa is 1 year long and it started since they accept the visa?

Even i will need to have a medical insurance but how can I do that if I am not sure for how long I will need it?
Thanks in advance

I write down here what is written in my letter:

Dear xxxxxxxx xxxxxx,
Your application to work in Canada has been approved. A permit authorizing you to work will be issued to you on your arrival to Canada following an examination by an officer of the Canada Border Services Agency, subject to your compliance with the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and its Regulations. The officer will ask to see this letter, your passport and may request to see your supporting documents. Do not pack these or other valuable papers in your checked luggage. You can find out more about which documents you will need to bring with you by visiting . As you gather your documents, please take note of the following: • This letter is not a passport or travel document. You will not be permitted to
board your flight without your passport, even if you have this letter with you. • This letter is not an authorization permitting you to enter or remain in Canada. An officer of the Canada Border Services Agency will make that determination upon your arrival to Canada. • This letter is important because it contains information that will be used by the Canada Border Services Agency to issue your work permit. Please do not misplace it. You must seek entry to Canada to obtain your work permit by (yyyy/mm/dd). Your passport must be valid beyond the period you intend to remain in Canada. If not, the validity of your work permit will not be issued beyond the expiry date of your passport, or, for United States citizens and permanent residents, the validity of your identity document.

Validity: 05/04/2020
Must enter Canada by: 05/04/2020

If you are from a country/territory which requires a temporary resident visa (TRV) ( ), you have also been issued a visa. This visa has been affixed in your passport, and is valid for multiple visits to Canada until it expires. If you obtain a new passport before your visa expires, you will need to apply for a new visa. You may do so by visiting . Other than United States citizens, if you are from a country/territory which does NOT require a temporary resident visa ( ), or if you are a permanent resident of the United States, you have also been issued an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Your eTA is valid for multiple visits to Canada, until (yyyy/mm/dd). Your eTA number is and is linked to the passport you used when you applied to work in Canada. If you obtain a new passport before (yyyy/mm/dd), you will need to apply for a new eTA by visiting . If you are a United States citizen, you are not required to obtain an eTA or a TRV. United States citizens who do not have a passport may show their United States birth certificate or certificate of naturalization. United States permanent residents entering Canada from the United States may present their alien resident “green” card, instead of a passport. In some provinces or territories, workers are not eligible for public health insurance. You must ensure that you and any dependants have adequate health care insurance or financial resources to cover possible contingencies. Your IEC work permit will be issued when you arrive in Canada and the work permit will be valid from the date you arrive in the case of Italy for 6 months. This assumes that when you arrive you can show the required travel insurance for that period and access to funds. If your intention would be to extend your stay as a visitor for an extra 6 months then common sense to get 12 month policy before you set out. The validity and enter by dates are only relevant to the entry letter which you must use by those dates or lose the opportunity.
