Hi,
I am an Australian who has been working in Canada for almost 6 years. Each time I have renewed my visa quite simply, now with this change of processing its kind of interesting.
My issue isn't with the process but with the actual online questionnaire you go through to verify if you are allowed to apply or not. I already have my conditional acceptance letter but when I complete the online section it comes back with "you are ineligible" blah blah blah HOWEVER when I change a simple answer from "applying from within Canada" (as I am currently just renewing my visa) to "applying from within Australia" I am now eligible to apply.
So if I go ahead with the personal checklist of being able to apply I am greeted with the form IMM1295E which is for applications outside of Canada. Every other document is the same except this one.
Does anybody know what the "correct" way to fill out the online questionnaire so there is no need for the outside of Canada form?
Is this a glitch in the system so to speak and will immigration overlook it if I place my current address to within Canada?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
Ben
