IEC: Receiving POE?

Hi guys,

I hope this is the right thread to post this question.

I've applied for IEC and I have a question concering POE. I got an e-mail that my application has been updated and when I checked the account I saw that my work permit application has been approved. The "final decision" section says "Check your messages below for details.", but I haven't received any message on the day I received the e-mail notification and I still haven't got any new updates and it already has been over a month. As I understand, the next step is to receive the POE, right? Did it also took some time for you to get it after your work permit has been approved? I just can't seem to find he POE processing time on the CIC website.

So you are looking at the application section in Mycic where it says approved and not the account messages section below that which probably says no messages.

So assume you are clicking on check status and messages tab on the approved line.If you have the email the correspondance letter/poe should be in your account same time as i understand it. Time maybe to raise a case specific enquiry.

Yeah, I'm checking the messages on my Work Permit application and the last one is the Submission Confirmation, so nothing new since I sumbitted my documents. And it crossed my mind to write to CIC, but wanted to get some confirmation of how long it takes to get POE before doing so.

Send a case enquiry as you been waiting a month already, you could try calling but being outside the country both not cheap or easy to get hold of. The POE should be there if on the main page shows approved, although of course CIC being CIC confuse matters by calling it a ' correspondance letter' not a POE letter.
