IEC implied status, FB official comfirms

as many of you know IEC does not benefit from implied status. Howevere I tried to ask International Experience Canada FB official page and they replied me that there is implied status for IEC. Now I'm very confusing about it

you say "as many of you know..." and then make a statement as if it is fact, when in reality, CIC has over and over and over confirmed that this often parroted myth is not true at all, and there is implied status for IEC and PGWP

why keep listening to unofficial anonymous people on unofficial forums?

contact CIC yourself, as I did, and get them to email you after the call, I got an email back that has the name and employee number of the person at CIC that told me that implied status gives one all the benefits of their expired non-extendable original work permit


so I must say, I will always believe CIC before I will believe posters on an unofficial internet forum

Implied status for what ?

Not for another IEC given the selection is random and you should either leave when IEC permit expires or get a visitor non work permit given there is 100 percent no guarantee of getting another IEC if thats the implied you are suggesting.

You need to be more precise what variation of implied status you are referring to in context of next application, EE,CEC etc... And as far as facebook or twitter are concerned were these the 'official' CIC outlets which do exist by the way in support of any phone calls but remember the people manning them are not actual visa officers but likely call centre employees running to a scripted set of answers so cannot possibly deal with all the variations.

good points, this should be more specific, referring to implied status in situations that implied status is available, such as when applying for a new work permit along with a permanent residency application as long as one was still under legal status when it was applied for (for example, if one is "extending" ones status as a worker from a non-extendable work permit by applying for a new work permit and falling under implied status with the same rights as the expired non-extendable work permit until the new application is processed)
