Hey there,
I have received my IEC invitation and am sorted for all my proof except the proof of funds. I'm really not sure how to show my evidence here as I do not have an account in my name with the funds available.
I was travelling in New Zealand until march and then came to canada, where I am living with my girlfriend on a visitor's visa for the moment. The money I had in my home account (UK) is now all dried up and the money i made in NZ is in my girldfriend's account.
I will also be recieving funds from family in germany once i have a canadian account to send it to but i don't want to transfer to my uk account as an inbetween step as I will lose a lot of money from the currency exchange.
Any ideas?

The funds need to be in your account and you need to show proof of these funds in order to be approved for the IEC.

Two things here given you will need to flagpole to activate your IEC so these will be requirements at that time not before

1)as Scylla implies you need to show you have access to 2500 CDN or any currency equivalent in a bank account in your name.

2) you need to show you have travel insurance for the duration of your IEC not less than else the IEC permit will only be issued to the duration of any insurance. The insurance needs to include medical repatriation to your home country as well as most travel insurance does.

Without both these especially (2) your IEC permit would not be issued.
