Hi all,
I have a question about Family Information Form (IMM5645E). I have got an invitation to apply for open work permit through International Experience Canada (IEC) program. My wife haven't got this yet but I have to finish my application. If she didn't get an invitation she would go with me as a tourist. I want to find a job in NOC type 0, A, B so she could apply for open work permit being already in Canada.
Now I am wondering what should I check on IMM5645E form in column "Will accompany you to Canada" (unfortunately I can't post any links :(, you can find this form on CIC site).
I am worried that if I check "YES" they will reject my application, because what is said in Disclaimer:
I acknowledge that I may not list my dependent(s) (i.e. spouse or common-law partner, child/children) on my application to benefit from the IEC program. My dependent(s) must submit their own separate application to enter and reside in Canada, for example as an IEC participant, visitor, student, or worker. If my work in Canada will be classified under National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Levels O, A, or B, then my spouse or common-law partner may be able to apply for an open work permit to Canada.
Do you know what should I check in column "Will accompany you to Canada"? Should I check "YES", because she will go with me as a tourist or should I check "NO", because a spouse can't use my IEC program?

Hi!

Just reading your post and I am in pretty similar situation. Did your wife accompany you to Canada on a visitor Visa?
