IEC and police checks

Are all police checks from countries where I lived for more than 6 months since age of 18 mandatory when applying for work permit online ?

Yes, but not for Canada as CIC will do their own checks.

what if someone spent 3 months in usa on one occasion and second time 4 months . would they still need the fbi check ?
