Is there anyone waiting longer than the processing time given by IEC originally (10wks)?
It seems that people who are applying within Canada are waiting longer..
I am residing in Canada, my previous work permit having expired at the end of last year. I am on a Visitors Record and now having to apply for another to tie me over until I receive this new permit. I really didnt expect it to take this long.
I called the CIC hotline today to ask about the status of my application. The guy said - they are currently processing applications received at the beginning of February. Mine was submitted on February 18th.. so he has given me another
2-3 wk waiting period.
I dont know how accurate this is, I know they dont have access to online applications, and this is more than likely an estimation.
Anyone else gotten any further with their applications? any further information on the waiting times?
