Hi there, I am from the England and Like many out there have just completed stage 2 of the IEC application for 2013.
I am appealing to anyone from Ireland who has undergone this process already this year.

The London office of the CIC deals with IEC applications for the following:

Channel Islands, Denmark, Falkland Islands, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, United Kingdom

The UK's allocation opened on the 14th of Feb 2013, much later than Ireland's Allocation. I would really love to hear from anyone from Ireland who has applied for IEC in 2013.
When did you apply? have you received your actual letter of introduction yet? and how long did the process take from the day you submitted your CIC application?
The CIC website says the London office take approx 2 months to issue the letter of introduction but i wondered if this process had been sped up at all due to it being carried out online this year?

I really hope someone can help!

Hi cherryjam, I'm from Ireland, and living in Canada at the minute.
I submitted the first part of the IEC stage on the day it opened on the 29th of Jan, and submitted proof of payment on the 30th. They sent me the receipt of proof of payment on the 3rd of Feb and sent me the conditional exceptance letter on the 12th which prompted me to go to MYCIC account and complete stage 2. I havent heard anything back since then.

I know one girl from Ireland is still waiting on her proof of payment receipt. I know someone else also in Ireland who got her LOI or POE as they are calling it this year 2 days after she submitted!!
It seems a lot of the applicants that are in Ireland and the UK at the minute are getting their POE's first. Not sure why.
Also I see some people who have been in Canada longer than 6months are being asked to provide a police clearance which takes up to 18 weeks if you are not in Canada. Some of those people have since got their POE as the police clearance was asked for in error.

When did you submit stage 2?
Are you in Canada at the moment?
Hope this was helpful :)
