Hello All

Can anyone let me know what do we need to fill in the field for 'Identity Card Number' in the main application??

For India,do we need to put in our PAN number or do we need to leave it blank since there is no single accepted identity document..

cheers!

Fill it in with N/A, if you don't have one.

Fill as "N/A" if you dont have a national identification numbers, most of the non western countries dont have this except a few like china.

India doesn't have it... write NOT APPLICABLE..

Nandan's working on it ;)

Can we use PAN card Number (Persoanl Account Number for india)

I have written there PAN Card #.

ideally, it is NOT APPLICABLE, but writing anything will definitely not harm as long as you are explaining where this number comes from.

the concept of ID card is that if Canada approaches the government of India and asks them about a person with a particular ID number, the government should be able to ink -up everything and give them your life's happenings inside-out.

Now, we cannot do this in India as yet with PAN card or voter card or Driver's lisence, etc..

So, for Indians, the ID card will be NOT APPLICABLE

So what does that mean. Will they enquire and reject the case.

According to my assumptions i Thought in India the oly one thing which is unique for every person is PAN Card # and I wrote that.

Also for my son's Passport I have written 'Need to Apply' as I have not yet applied for it. He is minor and I can get it in very short time. I have written Need to Apply and now I am in the process of applying it.

I am really worried.

i don't think it should be an issue... am sure a lot of people make this mistake and they are used to it.

technically, it is an ID card in India. so, don't bother... it will not harm at all..

I hope and pray that you are correct.

I dont want to become a rejected case at this step. Please pray for positive result for me.

What about my Son's Passport.
