ID question

Good Morning all,
I'm American from 1000 Islands New York and my husband of 5 years is Canadian from Kington ON(45miles apart).
I have couple questions please.
When I send in the paperwork and IDs can I use my enhanced license or do I definitely need to get a passport?
I go back and forth over the Border a lot every other weekend and Wednesdays once I put in my application is that going to make it harder for me to go back and forth??
It probably doesn't make a difference but I'm going to ask anyway since my husband and I are only 45 miles apart and see each other all the time will that make the application process go smoother for me?

1. You need a passport.
2. As long as you can demonstrate that you will leave Canada and not overstay, it should not be an issue. As you have a record of timely departures, I don't see why your travel patterns would cause alarm. Be honest with the border agents if they question you.
3. It will make exactly zero difference for your application. You get put in the queue and processed at the same rate as everyone else.
