ICT Visa

Hello Guys,

I am seeking your help in ICT Visa process, in terms of specialized knowledge skillsets and other requirements. I am from finance background, what kind of checks do they make? I already witnessed L1B visa rejection last year, would it be having any impact on my visa approval.

Well you should of course declare ALL refusals regardless of which country given Canada and US among others do share information and not declaring could result in a 5 year ban.

. For an ICT visa you should expect detailed checks on your background and the host company requirement to bring you to Canada on an ICT. The company will need to justify either that you are high level executive or have specialised skills not readily available to them in Canada. The latter seems a challenge if just in finance but I guess anything is possible.

Thanks for your response, but an L1B rejection is likely to have any impact on the visa approval process. background verification is fine but since in case of a specialised knowledge skillset check, the focus is on development as opposed to execution, so I am not sure how could one needs to articulate to build a convincing story.
