ICT - how to add dependent child in the application??

Hi, I work for an Indian consulting company and they have applied for my ICT in April. At the time of application, i was told that my travel would be asap and hence when i filled in the forms, I mentioned my kid's name and gave 'Accompany to Canada' as NO. Main reason was that my kid did not have a passport when i was applying for my ICT. Now my kid has got his passport and it looks like my travel will also be delayed because of the work permit issues and I am yet to hear back on my results. My question now is,

1. is there a way that I can add my kid to my application ?
2. If that is not possible, what is the next best way to take him to Canada? if possible, with me or a few months after i go is also fine. Can this be done by adding him as a dependent to my work permit or by applying a separate visitor visa for him?

From what i know, you cannot add a kid latter in the application. However, you can apply for his separately after i.e. fill a temporary resident visa form if he is under 6 (or if he is between 6 and 18 and goes to school, fill a study visa application form) after you have gone there alone. Then you can attach details of your job offer etc. along with his application and submit.
