Hi, I'm new here. I just started researching on EE yesterday and I could use some help figuring out the proof of work experience.

I have continuous one year employment. I switched companies once but I ended my contract at the first company on Friday and started the new job the following Monday. Will it be problematic? Should I ask my old employer to write my end date for Sunday that week just to show it's continuous?

Also, since I worked as a contractor (full-time without benefits), I was issued a check either bi-monthly or monthly. I threw away my checks after I cashed them. While my employers will state my salary on the reference letter, I don't have anything like a pay stub to show as supporting document. I worked in the US. I do have tax documents but it only shows the total amount, without information like wage rate or hours worked. What kind of documents do I need to back up my application?

I appreciate any of your input!

It's fine.

Pay stubs are not mandatory. If your employer correctly stated salary information on the reference letter, that's enough. You can submit your tax record as support document.

Thank you for your help!

I have one additional question and I'm wondering if you know the answer. I was contracted to work at my company through a staffing agency. Since the staffing agency didn't know my work duties and no one there was actually my supervisor/manager, I asked my manager at the company to issue my reference letter. It would be printed out with company letterhead, her signature, and everything else required. Is this okay? Or should i asked my staffing agency to issue my letter?

My company paid my staffing agency, and then they paid me.
