Greetings to all,
My parner and I have successfully submitted our Outland Conjugal application. I sponsored her to live here in Canada and we presented our compelling evidence of our relationship. I believed that we had established a SERIOUS immigration barrier because she was denied a TRV in Canada twice and once in USA (our initial plan is to get married in USA but sadly she was denied a tourist visa too) Anyway, My partner is a pre-op transgender woman from the Philippines.
-We met in an online dating site last January of 2014.
-Relationship becomes official on April of 2014
- I met her personally January of 2015 and i stayed with her for 2 months (1st meeting) during this period we have our Holy Union and travel together in Thailand. Same sex marriage is not allowed in her country.
- Second meeting was December of 2015 for 4 months. We travelled to Singapore.
-Third Meeting was December of 2016 and i will stay for another 4 months. And will have a vacation in Hongkong very soon.
By the way Heres our Timeline:
April 30, 2016 - Submitted the Outland Conjugal Application with upfront Medical Check up.
May 12, 2016 - AOR
June 5, 2016 - Sponsor approval
June 14, 2016 - CIC Manila received the application
October 1, 2016 - She received a letter from CIC MANILA stating that she needs to pay Rights Of Permanent Residence Fee amounting to 490 CAD. We paid it after 3 days and we notified CIC about the receipt, we received a confirmation that our payment was received.
When we submitted our outland conjugal application, i did not pay the rights of permanent residence fee. Based on my understanding, i may opt to pay the rights of permanent residence fee on a much later time maybe after an interview or once she passed the interview if any. Right?
I wonder why she was asked to pay the rights of permanent residence fee instead of an interview. I can imagine that there will be an interview. Is this correct or no? Does this means there will be no interview? Will she also get notified if the interview will be waive? As i understand the entire process may take up to 17 months right?
Do you have any idea what will happen next? Any suggestions or idea you like to share?
Thank you do much in advance and Happy New Year to all,
Best regards,
Canadalover
