I sent my Medical done on may last week (AINP-H1B) and sent to CIC. Now I received a letter requestiong state police report and Right of Permanent Residence Fees. I am confused about this fee. Is this the fee they should ask at the last, if the case is approved or it is a different fee? They are asking 490 each person. Could any one please tell me what is this all about?

thank you very much for your help.

This is the fee that you pay because you have been granted PR of Canada. Congratulations :)

We have to take this request neither with excitement not with disappointment. Its is just a normal request for next steps. I too got this request for PCC's and RPRF even before my medicals reached them.

All it mean is our files are fine with respect to job/category/experience or whatsoever except medical and security check. If we pass medical and security checks it will be the fee for landing. If anything goes wrong it will be returned.

So.. Its not a sign of approval. However, its a sign that things are OK so far.

Good luck to you and all

thank you all for the responses.
A question if any of you have idea "mine medical was sent by the doctors on june 2nd and I received this letter dated june 24th. do you think they already reviewed my medical report before issuing this letter?" I am concerned on this because the doctor told me that they might ask me for another test, because my medical report was not 100% good.

if some people have recieved rprfee letter even before the medicals then even conjecturing on their process might not be help... assuming the review has not happened , i would
mention about the letter and talk to the dr to ask if the retest is just merely for personal health reasons or if it poses any significant strain on canadian medical system, to get
some sense before sending the rpr fee...

and not the least : Stay excited Stay positive ....

I am wondering if you would be kind enough to expand on what you meant by "medical report was not by 100% good"? If it is too personal, please don't worry about it or feel free to PM me.

I currently have high blood pressure and my wife had a major health issue in the past, but it has been taken care and she is totally fine. I am not sure if we should disclose her past condition and if we did that, how the CIC medical team will react. I just wanted to get some idea from your medical experience on how to proceed when we go for our medical (hopefully in next few weeks). Thanks.

you don't need to worry about that kind of medical condition. i had a phenumonia in past year, in the chest x-ray, the doctor found a small patch. so the doctor was predecting that they might ask me for another test. i don't think any body is denied because of medical tests, but it certainly delay your processes. hope this helps.

It's funny. I was also asked to pay the RPRF when I submitted my documents. Isn't it like having lunch before breakfast? Shouldn't CIC ask for the RPRF as a last item?
