I am going for a week on a Visit to Canada. I want to apply visitor visa without my wife. And do you have a sample cover letter as she is not traveled with me.

The point is, you don’t need to explain why your wife is not travelling with you.
i guess his point is he want to apply for tourist visa and he need a good cover letter.
as he is going alone, probably his is thinking it is mandatory to accompany his wife on visit, perhaps he believes his application is not that strong. so he need a strong cover letter as a solo tourist.
as am not professional but i do understand how it works. as per ur request i really dont know u r from which country,not sure if u r an entrepreneur or working for someone, not sure about your bank statement, not sure about your travel history.

5th Next paragraph about your home ties like your work, finance,property, family.
6th next paragraph about travel history. mention about your previous travel history in last 10 years.
7th paragraph explain why you will come back to your home country after completing your stay.
8th) your travel itinerary.
