Hello Sir/Madam,

I am a Graduate student just passed out in June 2012.

I have cleared 10th with 88 %, 10+2 with 67 % and B.Tech in Computer Science with 74 %.

I applied for higher studies in McMaster University, UOIT during the month of December, 2012 so that I could get the offer letter by the time of May or June but that didn't happen and they rejected my application. They also made it clear that I cannot be able to register in that college again. Now, I have cleared up my degree. But, I am confused which way to go ? I do not want to apply for Colleges because University is my priority.

Can you tell me if it is all right to choose College over University ? Will it be beneficial for me in the future point of view ?

One more thing, My family background isn't very good. I gave IELTS and scored 7.0 band in the first go. But eventually, One single thing screwed the whole happiness. My grades are likewise, Listening 8.5, Reading 7.0, Speaking 6.5, Writing 5.5, Will it work out for me as I don't have enough to sit in an another examination ?

Your Average was cool, so why did they Rejected you?

But Bro, plz go for UNI only not for Colleges...

According to my so far research over Internet, Colleges ain't good for me. Many student have given negative feedback about Colleges in Toronto. They said that the faculty does not pay attention to students and their experience isn't up to the mark. Where as in case of Universities, I never got any complaints. I didn't know, Why they rejected my application ? They only told me that my scores were not up to the mark. I do not know what things they consider while processing the applications.

Sandhu bai ji ,

In most of the top rated uni's u need gmat ,and Sorry to say your ielts score does not work in some universities coz they have limitation to accept no band less then 6 in each. However as you said your family background is not good I suppose "fanancially", then don't choose uni , its fees are high as compared to colleges and also have more expenses as well work load is high. So, you will not get enough time to work and earn your needs if your family can't support you fully financially.

there are also lots of goods community colleges in canada who has less fees as compared to universities and moreover you can also pursue your studies after getting PR and then need to pay lees at that time,if you are keen toward the study.
you have lots of options in colleges but if still you want to enroll in university then be prepared financially. and still there are some universities that accept your ielts score

best of luck . :D

Thanks for your suggestion, Brother.

I will opt for College in case I miss out Universities. I thought that after doing B.Tech Degree, It'd open some path to prestigious Universities. It is true that I have to look up to my financial status along with future plans. Moreover, Work load will be higher in Universities and due to my poor communication skills as it reflects from my IELTS examination, I might not be able to do the best at University and will put my future in pitch darkness. My parents will hope more good results from me which would be an extra burden for me. College seems to me a good opportunity as I can manage getting admission in their and I'll under less stress.

bro don't feel low, Colleges in canada are not like Indian colleges, they are even bigger then indian universities. So, choose whatever you think suitable, Just you need to dig deeply on this forum to get answers of all questions.
I don't think 7 band is a small think, I am even more then happy with 6.5 bands (L6.5, R6.0, W6.5, S6.0), So try in college .I am going for GBM humber college , Ontario. Choose the relevant course and apply. if you want look courses in ontario then this link is for yours.

www.ontariocolleges.ca/FindProgram

but choose is yours ,however we all are here for your help in all ways. and check your inbox at upper right side of window.

Bai bas chardiyan kalla ch reh, visa chad appa te gori mem v viah ke leyani aa canada toh, Hhahahaha

all the best, don't go for ryerson but uni of guelph and uni of waterloo are both good. Just check the time they take to issue acceptence letter there because you don't have much time for that i think.

However, in Centinnial and humber can get admission easily. and hopefully visa also.
baki eh gall chuthi ha 22 ki university ch hi visa lagda. Yaar fer SPP katto chau kitta je university waleya nu hi canada warna ha je.

Best of luck friend choice is yours. karche walla kam karna te uni and paise bachana v te wasul v karna then college

Baki Rabb de hath dooran ne 22 ji,

I mailed Centennial and they replied it is full. I do not know about the deadlines for Guelph. I am afraid that I am late.
