Listen if you have one million dollars saved up, you are doing a hell of a lot better then the majority of people in Canada. I think you are doing OK, however that is in the eye of the beholder. Contact a lawyer, and put your one million bucks to use hiring them to figure it out

If you want to claim asylum in Canada, you will need to apply for a TRV (tourist visa) and then claim asylum once you arrive in Canada.
