I THINK I HAVE BEEN REFUSED!!

Dear Friends.

I applied for Student visa on 24th Sept at Kenya Embassy. I received an email today morning mentioning my file number and name, plus been asked to send a courier for pick-up of my documents.

What do you think? Because I see in forum. Majorly applicants receive an email(soft copy) for medical but not in mail(hard copy).

I already have a valid multiple entry TRV of Canada valid till 2021.

I hope to get your opinions.

We have finalised processing of your application.

Kindly send us a pre-paid courier coupon so that we may return your documents to you.

In order to do so, please contact your preferred registered courier provider (e.g. DHL, UPS, TNT, FedEx) and make the necessary payments. Once this has been done, inform your courier company to confirm payment directly to our office for the documents to be packaged and dispatched. Please advise the courier company that the confirmation email should be sent to XXXX@XXXX and should contain your name, date of birth, and file number (if applicable).

Does seem like a rejection.. otherwise.. why are they trying to return the docs to you?

But then, they shud have also mentioned the rejection notes on the email or sumthn..
Senior member might have a better opinion..

you hadn't included your passport and medical report in those documents right ?

Nope, We aren't authorized to do that unless asked.

I'm sorry to say this but most probably it's an rejection. Usually after you apply online the next step is that the VO requests us to undergo medicals. And after the medicals they request for our passport. So sending a courier to collect our documents is normally not what they ask for in order to issue a visa.

I did paper application. Even when i had done Tourist visa application last year I had received the exactly same email for pick-up of documents. I will receive the documents on Monday.
Lets c what happens... Does VO requests medicals by mail or its only email?

Oh okay. I thought you'd applied online. I don't know how the Embassy in Kenya works on visa applications. I was sharing you my experience as I am from India and I'd applied online for my visa. In my case they asked me for my medicals and passport via Email. I've read on this forum that in some cases the VO sends medical requests by mail too. I had no intention to demotivate you. Good luck and I hope you get your visa the same way as you got Tourist Visa

Thank you... unfortunately the courier people didn't pick my documents today so they will pick it on Monday and it means I'll receive on Wednesday.

Yes, at vfs they told me 6 weeks...but i got request within even 6 days, cz kenya takes 11 weeks to process... so this was really unexpected. i was thinking in morning that today my bank draft must have been cleared lol...
