HI everyone, I'm sponsoring my husband and daughter but by mistake, I send the wrong application kit to vergreville, Alberta on August 18, 2010
that it should be in Mississauga, ON for sponsorhip. I call the call center just to follow up what happen to my application and they said to me that i send it to the wrong address. What is the first thing i will do? If there's anyone who can advice me about my situation, i really appreciate

Usually, they would return your entire application. The bad news is that you might have to wait until they open your file. :(

Oh my goodness, if you have to wait until they open your file, they didn't open my file for ages, ie several months. Unfortunately Vegreville does the inland spousal route and therefore they are in no hurry to get things moving (inland isn't a priority) Have a look on the CIC site to see what the timelines are for spousal sponsorship inland. You either need to speak to an immigration lawyer about this, or call CIC again and ask them what you should do. Do keep us informed, we are keeping our fingers crossed.

You can always apply to CPC Mississauga now and wait for Vegreville to send the other application back to you. It won't matter because Vegreville can't process your file so they are sending it back. You just don't have to wait to receive it to apply to the appropriate place.

Hopefully you will have photocopied everything so you can write it all out again. A pain I know but rjessome is right you could just resubmit everything.

Well, it's not that simple - right? CPC-Vegreville will return your outland application to you when they finally open the application, but that won't be until 8-9 months after they received it. Unfortunately, if you included your original police clearance it will be expired and you'll have to get another one. My suggestion would be that you simply prepare a whole new application and get new police clearances so that you can resubmit while at least your medical exam results are still valid. Hopefully you paid your fees online so you can print another receipt - if not, you're going to have no choice but to wait until you get everything back from Vegreville and then start over again. If you have copies of all your stuff, and you can send a copy of your proof of medical and your fees paid receipt, all you have to do is get new criminal clearances and then send everything to CPC-Mississauga. Then when you get your original ap sent back to you, you just do nothing with it as your new ap would already be in process - probably at the embassy by then.

Actually they open them up 2 and a half months after receiving the application to check for completeness and etc then they start processing it if everything is correct. I would say their app will be returned within the next 2 weeks based on when they sent it.
