I quit my job, Work Permit and Open Work Permit will be?

Hi guys, I need help with my case. I and my wife got Visitor Visa on Jun 2017, will expired on Jun 2027.
We came to Vancouver, BC Canada on Feb 2018, I found a job and the company got the LMIA, I got a Work Permit on Jun 2018, expired Jun 2020. and my wife got Open Work Permit 2 years as my WP.

But right now I wanna quit, cancel the contract with the employer after 3 months working. I'll find another job and star over again with LMIA and WP, I know that.

I have some questions please advise:

1. After quit, cancel the contract with the employer. How long I and my wife can stay in Canada without leaving? Can I stay to Jun 2020? and How about the MSP (BC health insurance)? Is it still good to Jun 2020?

2. After I quit, how about my wife Open WP? Is it still valid to Jun 2020? or it will be revoked because I quit my job?

If your work permit is tied to that job (closed work permit), you cannot work for another company with it. So you would have to get another company to get an LMIA and then apply for a work permit. As your wife has an open work permit on the back of your work permit, I don't think she will be able to work (maybe another forum member can confirm this). You can stay until the work permit runs out, just cannot work unless you find another employer as mentioned above.

1. You can stay until Jun 2020. I can't comment on MSP.
2. Your wife's work permit is valid until Jun 2020. It will not be revoked.

Thank you guys a lot. I have usa visa also, drive to the us once a month to travel. after quit my job I wonder how can I answer the officer at the border. If someone in this situation before please share your experiences.

Sometime they asked where do I work sometime not. I do not know after I quit, I go to the us and drive back, Canadian officer asks and I say I quitted the job. Will I still can enter the Canada and stay until my WP runs out?
