To apply for asylum you must either travel to Canada as a tourist and apply for asylum when you arrive. Or you must leave your country and move to a different country. Once there, you must be officially recognized as a refugee by UNHCR and selected for resettlement in Canada.
To be approved as an asylum seeker, it's not enough to see racism and to think your family will suffer - you must have already been personally impacted by the situation and have evidence to prove it.
