Hello there, I need help! I am a little too confused, this is my situation:
Back in 2006 I entered Canada with my passport only, since at that time Mexicans didn´t need VISA for entering that country (I am obviously Mexican), I was told by some fellows that I was allowed to stay there only 6 months, but I overstayed my tourist status and I stayed for almost 17 months, which means that I was illegal for almost 11 months. Nowadays, I am studying International Business in my country, and the company I work for wants to send me to Canada to close some business with some important investors, what are the chances for me to enter the country with no difficulties? I have to mention that I purchased my own ticket when coming back to Mexico and never had any letter or removal order sent to me, when I arrived to my land, my passport wasn´t stamped, now my it has expired and need to get a new one, so I can apply for any re-entrance to Canada... basically what I don´t want is to be denied the entrance to Canada once the company purchased the ticket for me, that could make me lose my job. But I have the feeling that I won´t have any problems trying to get back to Canada, since it´s been longer than 7 years since I left that land.
I am looking for the best advice.
