Hi brother!
Actually I want to complete my post secondary studies in Canada and want to take a two-years IT diploma course at an affordable and well known community college. I am very confused between two provinces or most appropriately between two cities, one of them is Windsor(Ontario) and the other is Winnpeg(Manitoba). At windsor, I have selected one college which is known as 'St. Clair college' and at winnipeg, I have choosen two community colleges and they are 'Red river college' and ' MITT college'. My primary concern after completing my studies is to get the PR.
As I belong to a middle class family, they can only bear my first year's tution fees and living expenses. Since, I am going to do 2 years diploma course, so my second year's overall expenses are totally depending on me for which the part-time jobs are essential for me. The minimum wage rate of these cities are: Winnipeg=11CAD(correct me if I am wrong) and Windsor=11.60CAD. And also the tax deduction from part-time job is more in Winnipeg(correct me if I am wrong). But I have heard that the unemployment rate is very high in windsor(which makes me very nervous) whereas the availability of job is more in winnipeg for international students.
As per rules, int. students are allowed to work for 20hours/week during classes and full time during breaks. My plan is take rest for 1day a week and I will work for the rest of the 6 days(3hours/day) for 36 weeks and during break time(16 weeks) I will work 13 hours per day. So my total hours of work per year will be 1968 hours and that will be enough for me.
I would like to know informations about living and accommodation costs, part-time jobs availability(I can do any kind of job), pay rate per hour( under SIN and also cash jobs), availability of cash jobs. How many days and hours I need to do classes per week? Thanks in advance
