Hello forum members.

I am new to the forum and need some help with my citizenship application. I am confused about the residence calculator and how to calculate the days in canada. Let say I left canada at March 18, 2011 and my return date is May 7, 2011. Which date do I put in calculator as a day of absence - May 6, 2011?
I am really confused and do not know what to do? Please, I need some clarification.

Thank you in advance.

You should put May 7,2011. The calculator will consider either March 18, 2011 or May 7, 2011 you were in canada. The dates should match with your passport entries.

Thanks a lot Nuwa.

I got one more question. The section where we have to put all addresses where we stayed during the past four years. Let say I stayed in the hotel during the vacation for 4 weeks in another country, do I have to put that address in that section? I did not reside there I just stayed for vacation? Any comments?

I don't think you have to put that address since it was a vacation. But it is better to read the guideline given by CIC regarding this question since 4 weeks is a considerable time.
I haven't applied for citizenship yet, so I'm not familiar with the application.
