Hello and this is my situation:
I am an international student currently studying in Ecuador. I applied for a study permit on Jan 4th,2017 after receiving an offer of admission from Seneca College. The program I applied to starts on May and the due date for the tuition is March 14th. After some recommendations from others, I decided to apply to a university, in which I chose University of Victoria (UVIC) due to its engineering degrees and affordable prices. The program at UVIC starts on September 6th and I believe they send their offer of admission much later than March. If I recieve my study permit (probably on mid-February), I will have to send my passport to Quito to get my passport stamped. How can I go to UVIC and still stay in Ecuador until around June-July, and not get my study permit cancelled?
-I have all the requirements for study permit and admissions.
-I can't change my DLI# for CIC until I receive the offer of admission of UVIC, which is much after March, the problematic month.
-I can't afford to go to Seneca then later transfer to UVIC due to economic issues.
Questions:
1. Does not paying tuition for Seneca cancel my study permit (if I get it)?
2. Can I stay outside Canada after the program for Seneca started?
3. Is it possible to change institutions after receiving the study permit (just to be sure)?
4. What is the date limit to send the passport to CIC, in other words, after being approved, how much time do I have before sending the passport?
