Hi all

I am new in this form, I need some information and advice, regarding my case.

My case is that I applied for Canadian Citizenship at March 2009 and get the acknowledgement letter in september 2009, and then I receive my test letter in january 2010, after two month in march 2010 I receive a letter that indicate to me to fill up RQ (residency questionnaire) form and provide some documents like PR , all passport, tex documents, job documents, long term health benifit summary report, residence proof .

I have provide them all my documents , but my first question is that "why they ask this RQ" although I show them my all original documents at the time of test , and my second question is that "how long I have to wait for my OATH".

I am requesting all of you that please give me the advice.

Thanks in advance for all of you

I was never asked for an RQ and had the oath about 2 months after the test. Maybe this is how your local visa office does things or maybe something/someone alerted them that you might not meet the residency requirements to apply. Have you travelled a lot?

They might have found discrepancy with the requirements that you've submitted. They give me the RQ at the time of my test Sept 25, 2009 coz I forgot my expired passport. I sent the copy of my expired passport with most of the RQ requirements but still, until now, I still didn't get my oath taking schedule. I called immigration after 6 months of waiting and I was told that they don't have any processing times for RQ cases. I was told to call (immigration hot line) again if I haven't heard anything from the local office after 2 months. I was also told that I can send the local office a letter (coz there's no way to call the local office)just to inquire about my application and so I did. I sent the letter last week so I am hoping for them to call.

what you can do is to call the immigration hotline and just make sure that your local office receive the questionnaire, they will be able to tell you and get the address of your local office if you want to write a letter to them.
