I need an address to receive my PR card in Canada

Hi,

I am planing for landing in Toronto next week sometime. I will only stay there over the weekend and then will come back to outside Canada to wrap up things and then will move to Canada in 2-3 months.

I know I need an address to receive my PR card in Canada.

I do not have any friend or relative in Canada.

Can I use any "Rent a Mailing address service/ Temporary Mailing Address in Canada"

Any advice or experiences?

OR Can I give the address of my lawyer in Canada to receive my PR Card?

You can give the residential address of your lawyer ( if he agrees) . Dont write c/o and all that. Write your name and his address.

I'm worried from my local address because he is in Montreal, Quebec and I applied to land in Vancouver. Could that cause a problem?

The immigration officer would certainly ask about that, you can say you will stay in Vancouver for 3-4 days with someone and then fly to that place.

There are some guest house owners in Toronto who permits using their address for applying PR card and will collect your PR card and dispatch it to you, but they charge for this service. You can stay with them if they have place.

How can I found these guest houses? and what about the bank (opening an accoutn) and SIN, and the medical insurance.

Health Card : You can apply but delivery would be after 3 months time
SIN : 1ST have to apply , can be applied on any working day.
Bank Account : 30 minutes job, can be opned after SIN card application.

You can move around anywhere, but make sure someone is there on that address to collect your PR card and sent it to you.
