I don't know how much takes to get an visitor visa extension for a french citizen but if you have worries about your application I suggest you to call your VO for informations, or write them an email.

Make sure they have your applications and how long you should wait for the extenision.

Good luck!

thank you so much, but it seems you didn't understand my question please read it again
Well I guess before going back in Paris first you should know in what stage your application is, and accordingly to that you will know what your next step.

I'm not sure how long it'd take to extend your visa. They don't usually refuse an extension, but if they do, I'm sure you can apply again when you fly home. If your husband lives in Canada, you could apply for inland spousal sponsorship. The processing is much slower than Outland sponsorship though, but in this case you can stay with your husband.

This is true, but Safou will still need to be legal here, which means she would need the visitor's extension. 42 days is just a LITTLE longer than the norm, otherwise just wait. You have implied status until they say yay or nay :)

8 months is an average to complete 80% of the applications, so your application could be done quicker than that. you have to add the first stage (70 days for now), and then the 8 months - so average is 10 to 11 months but could be done fqster depending on your case etc.

good luck,
Sweden

I don't think it's going to be any faster. Things like these just take time, sometimes a lot of time.
