I lost my job but my Visa expires in 1 year

Hi everyone,

I have a 2 year Working permit.
I live in Montreal, QC and worked with a company which laid me off after 1 year.

My visa expires in october 2011, so i still have little less than a year.

I found another job:

What do i need to do for my employer to hire me regularly?

I have been told that he can aquire my Visa since it is still valid. is that true?

help please im lost in burocracy!

1. Your new employer requires an approved LMO and once obtained after s/he advertises the position on the job bank for 2 weeks, then you can apply for a new work permit. You can't start work without the new work permit.
