Hi all:

I left Canada two year ago for a 6-month study exchange program (to China).

Now I am filling the citizenship application form. For the residence address in the past 4 years section. E

Do I have to list my address in China??? Will it trigger a RQ? Since I leave Canada for more than 3 months, will they ask me for a Non-criminal proof in China???

Thanks a lot for this.

First, having been away for an exchange program doesn't mean you will get RQ. And even if that's the case, that's not a reason to lie and not tell them where you've lived for 6 months. So yes, you HAVE to list your address in China and also in the Work/study question you have to state what you were doing during that time frame.
Regarding your last question, I don't think you will need a Non- criminal proof from china.

Thanks for this clarification. I will just list this experience in all the places.

Also, for the non-criminal record, i will just wait until CIC asks for that.

I want to point out as well (since you also asked another question a lot like this one), that if you want to lie or conveniently "forget" an answer to a direct question from the CIC, you need to talk to a lawyer.

Tell the CIC the truth and don't try to assume that you can guess everything they will or won't like about you. The only caveat to telling the CIC the truth is if you came to Canada as a refugee and traveled back to your home country at any point. Then you absolutely need to talk to a refugee lawyer.

Right, i will just tell the truth, really not necessary to lie to them.

Thanks for this.
