I keep getting job offers!

I'm from the UK and living with my canadian girlfriend as a visitor. I really want to support myself more and I keep being offered work, though I need the whole labour market opinion which takes forever. Is it possible to get a work permit without a written job offer? When my partner came to the uk she was given an open permit for 2 years. I wish Canada would just return the favour!!!

The 2015 program will open at the end of this year.

Not really. That is an experience programme with limited places. My parter and her friend simply applied for a two year work permit and got it with no hassle. Not being rude but I've seen quite a few third worlders in Canada, so I can't really see how this tough immigration policy is working.

- Must have 1890 pounds in savings
- 5500 spots allocated per year for Canadians


Canadian IEC visa

- Must be between 18-30 years old
- Must have $2500 in savings
- 5350 spots allocated last year for Brits

An LMO is to make sure you (as a foreigner) are doing something Canadians can't do. Well, at least something that's hard for employers to find qualified Canadians. This is to protect Canadians' job opportunities. I mean, if your partner's father can easily find equally qualified Canadians for your job, the Canadian government requires him to hire, you know, Canadians
