We applied in Nov 2011 under Spousal and had all sorts of things go wrong. Lost paperwork, Admin errors etc. After 15 months of waiting, My husband was orignally denied sponsorship because they said he was in default of a court order
(he wasn't) our lawyer sent the paperwork to prove he wasnt which either did not make it to the right desk or they disregarded, who knows?
So we appealed the rejection and waited and waited and waited........................
We have had no notice of an appeal to date, however, I did get a letter last week saying that my file had been reopened and reassessed and as my Spouse is ineglible to sponsor me they are imposing An exemption pursuant section A25 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (humanitarian and compassionate grounds) and have asked for a photocopy of the photo page of my passport (my Country is Visa Exempt).
Does this mean I am finally getting my PR? I think it does, I HOPE it does, and I just need some reassurance here so that I can do the Happy Dance
