Ok, hive, I have questions.
Last week my employer finally received a positive on the LMIA dual intent. He started the process in June with job postings, had two applications closed due to missing documents. The third was sent in in December and approved last week.
Due to the delays, it's put me in a position where I have to restore my status. I'm OK with that paperwork but I have questions on timing.
Should I apply for the restoration before I put the LMIA in my EE profile? I was thinking that it would be beneficial to get the new work permit as a safety net should the PR application be declined. Also, if the PR application is declined before the TWP is finalized, would that automatically also make the TWP be declined if it's not finished processing?
Or, should I enter the LMIA in to my EE profile, apply and get the AOR and apply for a BOWP? Is that even possible as I need to restore my status?
I'm feeling like I should do the restoration first. At least get that process started and running for a few weeks before entering the LMIA in to my profile. The LMIA is giving me the extra points I need to be invited so I'm not worried about the time line for that.
