hi guys how are you all i have listened from one of my friend that if a student applied in a college then he can not work for a part time.and if he applied in a university then he has a opportunity to work for part time in toronto,canada.its is true or not please explain that what is this.i am confuse.its is better to go in a college or in a university.i wish to go in toronto.thanks

Here is what i heard that you can work on campus part-time whether it is a college or university you don't need a student work permit for that. If you want to work off-campus you have to get a student work visa and have to be a full time student.

The rule says that for the first 6 months ur not allowed to work off-campus, since that requires OCWP which is only issued after 6 months. working on-campus on the other hand doesnt require a permit, but is very competitive to find.

there is no difference as such between univs and colleges as far as working goes.
