Hi All,
I got an offer form an Canadian company, and the company prepared all documents for getting a work permit. Now that I had got the work permit could I apply for PR on the arranged employment category with this offer letter.

Thanks,
Karthik

Hi,

No, Work Permit cannot be treated as AEO. AEO is different. Your employer has to apply for that to the HRSDC, Canada. On receiving AEO you have to enclose it with your original application and send it to CIO, NS for initial approval. After that, you have to file your full FSW application in your local CHC office. So, Work Permit cannot be submitted in place of Arranged Employement Opinion. This is what I have understood from this forum. Let seniors reply also.

Good Luck.

You can apply under arranged employment category. If you have already in Canada, you should attach copy of work permit and a letter from employer that they will hire you on permenent basis on arrival of your PR. We did same and got approved from CIO.

AEO is for those who do not have work permit but they have been offered a job in Canada.

No, without knowledge of employer is not possible. You need a letter from them that they will employ you on permanent basis after you get PR. Also CHC can verify same thing with your current employer. So it is not adivceable to do so.

Other option is to stay in Canada for one year on your work permit basis, then apply for PR on basis of one year stay at buffalo office. In this case you dont need to involve your employer.

1) Apply now for PR with copy of work permit and letter from employer that they will hire you on permanent basis after your PR come.
2) Apply once you finish one year stay in Canada without letter from employer.

hi manek and seniors!

i have a low-skilled work permit and is working here in canada for almost a year. my employer is willing to hire me indeterminately.

Will this waive my proof of funds?

Low skilled WP means not in NOC 0,A,B category? Many CHC have waived proof of fund criteria with arranged employment based PR.

yes, my work permit is under NOC C. I will apply as immigrant thru FSW. My previous work experience belongs in the 38 prioritized NOC.

I am not sure if this work permit and a letter from my employer would waived my proof of funds. Has anyone of the same case with mine?

I really hope to hear to all of you who have gone through this case.

thanks!
