This has probably been asked a hundred times before but I'm just too damm lazy to go look.

I applied for PR in Jan 2014, got my AOR in Feb 2014, since then the website status is "Application Received". I did my medical in August and the website confirms they have been received. Given that the website states "Application Received" does this indicate that it is being processed or will the website status change to indicate this.

Did u click the "Application Received" status to see the details. It will shows whether your medicals has been received or not.

By the way, many people are with you in the same status, and few even didnt medicals request also. All are waiting for he CIC, hoping it will start processing soon.

You can find your situation and this query in almost every month thread . Infact I am also in same situation .
If you joined forum recently (which look like) I will suggest to visit few thread and you will find this Q very easily.
Anyway
This is common from ECAS prospective , What I know ECAS does not reflect exact status of your file.
If you want to know what exactly is happening please order GCMS note

Thanks guys, idle curiosity more than anything else, I figured since they'd sent the medical requests and logged on the website that these had been received and asked for my daughter Canadian birth certificate that something was happening.
