I have a question on sponsoring as a group of 5

Hi,
We are planning to create a Group of 5 people to sponsor refugees. If one of the people in group 5 has worked last year and made a huge sum of over $100,000, but is not currently employed can he still be eligible to sign as a group member who is ready to contribute from his past earning?
