I have a finance background(Bachelors Degree) and got acceptance for Diploma in vocation study in Computing support. What is the chance of me getting the study visa? What could be the workaround in this situation? Did anyone here ever got visa through DEP vocational study program while switching your education background? Please give contexts on this so that it would be easier for us to make a decision whether to go with DEP vocational study to apply for the visa. On that note, I have received acceptance letter from concordia as well for Post graduate diploma in Business Administration, Is there a possibility I could make a partial payment to concordia and apply for the study permit that way? The first semester tution fee would be around 9000 cad, can we pay around 1k - 3k when applying for visa and then refund and apply for CAQ with the DVS acceptance letter. Thanks in advance!

You would have to convince IRCC your vocational program adds to your career/education. Please search the forum for people who have changed majors.

Regarding changing schools here is the process for Canada in general not sure about Quebec but it should be similar:

Regarding payment policy you will have to check with particular university what their policies are.
