I had an urgent travel and I traveled without get my new PR.

Hi All
I want to ask about my situation:
I applied to my citizenship since first of 2009 and I got questionnaire on Nov,2009.
moreover, My PR card has expired on OCT 2010 and I applied to renew it but unfortunately I got another questionnaire.
I had an urgent travel and I traveled without get my new PR.
My question is Can I get back to Canada by travel document from the country that I went to.
By the way, I have two kids are Canadian and traveled with me and my hasband' PR is still valid untill 2012
what are the requirment need it by the embassy?
Do they need the support document or I will get questionnaire as usual????
or Can my husband make sponsorship to me????
Please advice me what is the best and faster solution

You can apply for a travel document but if your PR is being investigated because of residency, I think you might have problems with the travel document too. If you lose your PR, your husband can sponsor you again but first you have to wait for immigration to decide if you still have your PR or not.
