I got my passport back in the mail today with my very shiny and impressive-looking immigrant visa. I am so excited!!!
It's finally over! We did it!
And I have to say, after what was a very long, sometimes seemingly unnecessarily intrusive and highly inconvenient process, the letter I got today from the NY consulate (where my application was transferred by Buffalo) was quite nice. Lots of helpful information about landing and the letter opens with "Congratulations!!!!" (4 exclamation points!!! ha ha)... it doesn't get much better.
