1. The employer sends you a copy of the approved LMO and then you apply for a work permit and TRV if required from your Local visa office. Depending on your country of residence, you may require a medical as well.

Your employer is responsible for applying your LMO.

That is slightly weird i.e. you not having received any contract agreement or any thing.

First as soon as they offered you a job, it should have been a formal offer, which both parties sign and return. Usually it would state the terms of employment which includes statement like "Employment is valid subject to approval from Canadian Immigration Center" (CIC).

Using this signed and accepted offer along with a few other docs, the company applies for LMO on your behalf. Then it would take any where between 6 - 8 weeks (possibly longer) for LMO to be approved. Once they receive it, employer would send you a copy of LMO, which you would submit to your local embassy for visa application along with other required documents. If your country requires a visa to enter Canada, the documents and forms would be several and might include things like Police clearance certificates, educational and experience proofs etc. Plus you might also be required to go through a medical test, but that would come latter.

There is limited knowledge i have about that.

What i know is there are two types of LMO's. In one type you have to declare the employee's name while putting up the application and in the other, it is not required i.e. the employer can declare it AFTER receiving an LMO upon actually bringing up the employee. I kind of forgot the different terms of each, but i am certain i read about those on the cic website, so you can google the details.

Personally, i am a software engineer by profession and the LMO i received did contain my name as indicated in advance by my employer. But i believe the other type should be fine with you as well.

CLARIFICATION: LMO is issued to the company and the applicant is the company, usually it is from a person like the company's VP or CEO addressed to the Canadian authorities. But one type contains the name of recipient of LMO while the other does not. The one i had contained all sorts of details, my name, Date of birth, passport number, even the salary i was being offered in Canada etc. But i do know that there is an alternate type as well
