Hi.
I got home from work a bit ago, and had a manilla envelope waiting for me from Buffalo. Uh-oh.......Got up the nerve to open it, and it said:
"The precessing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is complete. We require your passport before we can issue your immigration visa. etc"
I am speechless and stunned!!!
Timeline as follows:
Applied, Sept 26th, spousal category(US resident)--sent package to Missassuga, Ontario
Sponsors application approved and sent on to Buffalo office, Nov 2nd(took about 5 weeks)....
Had 2 communications from Buffalo office, having "simple" questions regarding my application....
Today, Feb. 06th, got the letter asking for my passport!!
I have to tell you all, when I sent in my application, I sent in EVERYTHING and anything I could think of, to help my case......letters from friends/relatives, tons of pics, emails, phone calls, etc etc.....I thought it was better to be safe than sorry. They probably got tired of seeing all my stuff!!! Tried to be very organized as well.
I honestly thought I'd be lucky to hear something in 6 months!!!
So, now I have to get ready to "land"...
Good luck to you all...
