I got a SIN via Co-opp work permit.. May i use it for open work?

I got SIN card through co-opp work permit.
I m in 1st term.
According to new rules may i use this SIN card for open work.
I m eligible for getting open work permit after 3 month.
before that may i use SIN for open work.
